Come and learn the martial art of SAMBO with us. Sambo is an acronym for the Russian phrase Self-Defence Without Weapon (SAMozashchita Bez Oruzhiya), and is a HIGHLY EFFECTIVE form of martial art.
Developed in the former Soviet Union as a hand-to-hand combat system for the military and police force, it combines the various fighting systems of the former Soviet republics and Asian martial art techniques. Sambo is practiced in two forms: Sport Sambo (involves throws, takedowns, ground and submission fighting) and Combat Sambo (realistic and efficient techniques including striking, throws, takedowns, submissions, chokes, weapon removal and defence against multiple attackers).
Owners, Master Vladislav Koulikov and Master Yvonne Koulikov, are highly regarded and qualified instructors. Their wish is to help students of SAMBO learn the sport in a safe, enjoyable, and beneficial way.
